Edinburgh Capital Hotel is modern spacious hotel ideally situated for the city centre, highlands of Scotland and Edinburgh Airport. It has 111 bedrooms, 7 Conference and Meeting rooms with a capacity of 300, Capital Health and Fitness Club and Bar and Restaurant. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic team players who enjoy the excitement of a busy bar and restaurant operation, which offers food all day, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Due to the fast paced environment, you will be the type of person who enjoys a challenge and can ensure a high standard of customer care is offered consistently. You will have a pleasant mannerism and ensure guests receive a warm welcome, you will be motivated by providing efficient service and be able keep calm, even when under pressure. You will be knowledgeable in both food and bar service procedures and will be responsble for ensuring that billing is accurate

The Edinburgh Capital is a 111 bedroom hotel located at Corstorphine. The Chef de Partie will be responsible for ensuring that a high standard of food is produced for the hotel including; Restaurant, Bar, Room Service and Conference & Events.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing great food and enjoy working with a dedicated team of Chefs and Kitchen Porters. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure is essential.
The role will involve:

Taking responsibility for various sections within the kitchen, as required
Preparing and presenting food to a high standard
Requisitions for dry store goods
Stock rotation
Ensuring kitchen areas are clean and tidy at all times
Taking responsibility for strict control of hygiene in the kitchen and monitoring food preparation areas
Co-operating with the Head Chef to ensure that where applicable there is adequate provision of all cleaning materials
Ensuring there is no cross-contamination of cooked and raw foods
Supervising staff in the section
Carrying out training and documenting according to Company standard
Coaching of team members to ensure acceptable standards of performance are achieved
Communicating effectively with Kitchen team members and positively with other departments in the hotel, as appropriate
Working efficiently and effectively ensuring waste is minimised and costs are kept to a minimum

We are recruiting a Reception Supervisor for our three star Edinburgh Capital Hotel (Corstorphine), with 111 bedrooms, restaurant, bar and 7 conference rooms

What will the role involve?
Often the first and last point of contact, you will assist with guest enquiries and provide a high standard of customer service consistently
Check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy of billing and compliance with standard operating procedures
Dealing with guest queries/issues and ensuring these are resolved effectively
Taking reservations calls, inputting onto the system and sending guest correspondence
Training and coaching team members
Duty management shifts, as required
Occasional night shift to cover holidays
