What are we looking for?

Previous experience as a Reservationist/similar, e.g., Hotel Receptionist
Working knowledge of the comuterised Hotel booking system Opera
Excellent organisational and administration skills with attention to detail
High standard of computer literacy
The ability to meet departmental targets and deadline
The ability to handle a high volume of telephone and email enquiries
A focused approach to work unsupervised
A polite telephone manner with excellent communication skills
The ability to excel under pressure
The ability to build relationships with regular customers and the operations team
High standard of personal presentation

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience of Opera
Knowledge of the Edinburgh market

<br>Previous experience at supervisory level in a hotel/similar environment
<br>Previous experience of bar & food service
<br>Experience of Conference & Events operations is advantageous
<br>Previous experience of duty management is advantageous, although training will be provided
<br>Excellent communication skills both oral and written
<br>High standard of personal presentation
<br>High standard of customer care 
<br>Ability to deliver training to improve procedures and enhance customer service standards
<br>Ability to resolve issues and ensure they are dealt with in a timely manner
<br>Experience of Micros point of sale and system administration is advantageous
<br>Experience of health & safety, risk assessments, COSHH and PPE training is advantageous
<br>Personal liquor license holder and food hygiene certificate holder 
<br>Eligible to work in the UK with the ability to work 5 out of 7 shifts on a rota basis, including early mornings, evenings and weekends 
<br>Flexibility is required to meet business needs and hours of work will also be dependant on this
<br>

Hours: 39+ hours per week - Generally Monday to Friday, office hours, as the business requires

Salary/Hourly rate: £16,000 circa - Negotiable depending on skills/experience
