Conference & Events Assistant/Co-Ordinator - 6 month contract

Reference: ECH/C&E Assistant/Co-Ordinator 

Skills:
Previous experience in a similar role - this could be an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic individual either with Conference & Events Sales experience or excellent operational experience and admin skills to progress within the Conference & Events department

High standard of verbal and written communication
Attention to detail
Excellent planning and organising
Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
Excellent relationship builder
Eligibility to work in the UK

A uniform is provided, meal on duty and complimentary car parking and leisure club membership. A company benefits scheme is available including food & beverage and accommodation discounts at hotels within the Portland group and training and development opportunities. This will be a fixed term contract for 6 months. Successful completion of this role could lead to further options for employment within the Portland group

<br>Previous experience at supervisory level in a hotel/similar environment
<br>Previous experience of bar & food service
<br>Experience of Conference & Events operations is advantageous
<br>Previous experience of duty management is advantageous, although training will be provided
<br>Excellent communication skills both oral and written
<br>High standard of personal presentation
<br>High standard of customer care 
<br>Ability to deliver training to improve procedures and enhance customer service standards
<br>Ability to resolve issues and ensure they are dealt with in a timely manner
<br>Experience of Micros point of sale and system administration is advantageous
<br>Experience of health & safety, risk assessments, COSHH and PPE training is advantageous
<br>Personal liquor license holder and food hygiene certificate holder 
<br>Eligible to work in the UK with the ability to work 5 out of 7 shifts on a rota basis, including early mornings, evenings and weekends 
<br>Flexibility is required to meet business needs and hours of work will also be dependant on this
<br>

Salary/Hourly rate: £6.50 per hour
